Our Story

Our business was established in 1920 and has been serving our community and loyal customers for over 100 years. The business has been passed down through the family for years, with our owner Nathan Huyck taking over in 2017. Nathan has been working on the farm since he was fourteen, when his great-uncle was the owner. We’re proud to be a multigenerational family business that has been blessed to grow with our customers and build incredible personable relationships that have lasted for years, and many more years to come. We’re proud of how our family has maintained and innovated the business in all of these years, and we intend for our family to continue our proud tradition for years to come.

We’re grateful to be able to share our farm and our multiple greenhouses with our community and offer exceptional home-grown products that will take your breath away. We specialize in bedding plants, vegetable plants, and flower baskets. We offer a large variety of plants and flowers that are available to you, so you can spruce up your garden or add a nice splash of color to make your lawn stand out. Unlike our competitors in the area, a majority of our products are grown by us on location. We take pride in the fact that our inventory is locally grown and locally sourced, and you can take comfort that we’re involved in every step of the life of our products. We’re well established in the community, having built credibility and strong personal relationships over a number of years. Our goal is to continue to serve our current and loyal customers on a generational level and build more relationships with budding customers that will strengthen over time.

When you stop into our store, you’ll be greeted with a warm smile and a welcoming, homey environment. We offer a variety of homemade products for every member of the family to enjoy. We’ve been fortunate for our family business to have flourished for so many years, and we want our customers to feel like they’re a part of our family when they visit our farm. We pride ourselves on engaging with all of our customers and helping them find exactly what they’ve been searching for.

We hope you’ll stop by our farm and see what all the fuss is about. We’re located at 3005 Cairo Road in Paducah, Kentucky. You’ll be welcomed by our beautiful flowers and plants the minute you pull onto our property and we hope you’ll explore all that we have to offer. If you can’t make it by the farm, you can give us a call at 270-816-2412 and we’d be happy to discuss what we can do for you. We look forward to speaking with you and letting you take a little piece of our farm home with you.

The buds are in the absolute perfect state for fresh picked bundles. Still closed buds offer the most fragrant lavender smell for months to come. They won’t be closed for long. So if you’re wanting to U Pick Lavender, NOW is your chance!
Our lavender is PERFECT for drinks, dishes, and desserts. Branch Out Foods visited us today. They made some phenomenal lavender desserts last year!
Come get started at the front register tomorrow!
I’ve attached some photos of me picking the lavender. We want one to two sets of leaves on each lavender stem. Beyond the second set of leaves are new plant nodes. We want to leave these cute tiny guys for next year! Check ‘em out while you’re picking, they’re really cute and tiny lol. Please don’t just hack the plant to get your stem! Imagine cutting your scalp off when you get a haircut! Ouch!
U Pick Strawberry Patch ONLY OPEN 8-NOONish Saturday! The plants have slowed down a bit! So we are reducing the berry U Pick hours! We’ve had such an awesome season and can’t wait to do it again!
